About the Artist
Elsa Klever is a German illustrator and recipient of the 2015 Austrian Children’s Book Award. Klever studied at the HAW Hamburg and HSLU Luzern (Switzerland) and now works as a freelance illustrator in Berlin. Klever is part of the art collective tapir&klotz.
Klever’s clients include Dein SPIEGEL, Goethe Institut, Sueddeutsche Zeitung and AIDA Cruises.
Klever possesses exceptionally varied styles of illustration which are deployed for different projects ranging from children’s book illustration to infographics and commissions for book covers.
Klever creates illustrations depicting imagined worlds. Of her work she says ‘Inspired and influenced by music, coffee, oddities, people’s dreams and her own visions, the colours of autumn and little furry animals, she creates her own small (illustrated) worlds. Most of them are playful and colourful, with just a hint of weirdness’.

- The frame is produced using a high quality wood moulding.
- The frame is mounted with a 5cm antique white mount. The print, mount, glazing and hardboard is all held in place using rigid metal tabs.
- On the reverse of the frame there is a metal hanging apparatus stamped directly into the hardboard which requires hammer a nail or screw into the wall, the metal hanger then sits directly over this.
-These framed prints aren't glass, to prevent damage in shipping we use styrene glazing.
