Sami Black Diamond Rectangle Ring
Made in collaboration with Sami artisans who inhabit the Arctic circle. Ring features a hand-carved reindeer antler piece, etched with an ancient Sami pattern, then inlayed with india ink and silver to bring out the design and set around the sides with 14 brilliant cut black diamonds.
Reindeer antlers are shedded naturally and harvested once a year. You can see our Sami carver at work along with his beautiful herd of reindeer in the 'about' section - a true craftsman with over 40 years experience in shepherding and scrimshaw carving. We've worked closely together to create a modern twist on ancient Sami styles, and make something luxurious, beautiful and sustainably-sourced.
Square Reindeer horn cabochon is set into a silver ring, then set with 14 brilliant cut black diamonds.
Handmade in our London studio from 100% recycled silver and comes beautifully packaged in recycled No 13 boxes.
Ring face measures approx 1.3cm long by 1cm wide - ring sits 0.2cm above finger. Black diamonds measure approx 0.1cm in diameter.
**As this collection is inspired by an indigenous culture that is heavily affected by our actions on the planet, a percentage of the profits are donated to the National Wildlife Federation - a conservation group which unites individuals and businesses to protect wildlife, wild places, and the environment.**
About No 13
No 13 is a new jewellery brand that brings you a touch of ethical luxury.
We are inspired by nature and indigenous artisans who live in some of the remotest and endangered places on the planet. We wanted to work alongside them to bring you the most original and contemporary designs.
Our first collection is inspired and handmade in collaboration with Sami Artisans who inhabit the Arctic Circle. Our aim was to create a modern twist on ancient Sami styles, and in doing so make something luxurious, beautiful and sustainably-sourced.
