McClure’s drawings and paintings focus on places created for man’s solace and pleasure. Using a varied use of paint McClure aims to explore the complexity of images taken from nature that at first look simple and is particularly interested in landscapes like gardens and cemeteries, made by man to contemplate and reflect. Reflection is an important motif in his work, which he uses to challenge the viewer.
