This series of images is based on the European legend that spawned the story of the Easter Bunny. Using frequent collaborator Zoe Simon as the protagonist, Bušková combines bright costumes, striking sexuality, and odd visual props in her interpretive recreation of the folk narrative.

About the Artist
Tereza Bušková is a best known for her video works in which she creates evocative narratives based on folklore legends from her native Czech Republic. Now based in London, Bušková studied printmaking at the Royal College of Art before turning to films made in collaboration with musicians and performance artists. Her richly decorated and flashily costumed performances are situated around traditional mythologies that manage to create a uniquely subjective story that also pays homage to past cultural customs.
