Harry began his photographic career in his home-town of Glasgow; standing outside the Apollo, flogging gig-goers newly-developed shots from the bands' Edinburgh shows the night before.
Harry's impulse to guerilla lensmanship swiftly drew him to London. Through 1979 to 1984, he was staff photographer for the music weekly 'Sounds', providing countless front covers. In August 2002, Harry suffered a brain aneurysm and subsequently returned to Glasgow in February 2006. Street Level Photoworks held the first retrospective of his work in 2012 titled, 'What Presence! The Rock Photography of Harry Papadopoulos'.
