    Friends of the RA can enjoy free entry to all RA exhibitions with a guest for free, from David Hockney to Abstract Expressionism. They also have all day access to the Keeper’s House, Priority booking and Exclusive Events, and much more.


    There is always something exciting happening at the Royal Academy and a Friend of the RA membership is the perfect way to experience and unlock the RA’s vibrant artistic programme of leading art, design and architecture.

    As a Friend of the RA you will have access to the Keeper's House, a café, restaurant, bar and garden for Friends to enjoy in the heart of Mayfair. You will be able to visit all of the RA’s exhibitions for free, as many times as you like with a guest. We have an exciting programme coming up, including Abstract Expressionism opening in September and a focused display of David Hockney's portraits.

    In addition you will receive the RA magazine, priority news and booking opportunities, access to exclusive Friends events including previews, private views, film screenings, culinary tastings and other VIP experiences. If you are aged 16 – 25 years old  you can enjoy all of the same benefits for just £50, and if you would like to have all of these benefits for two people become a Joint Friend for £150.

    How to Activate Your Membership

    Upon receiving your pack please call the number on the reverse of your membership card to activate your membership. Once your membership is activated, you can start receiving all of your Friends benefits straight away, including the quarterly magazine mailed to your home and priority booking on events. To personalise your card with your name, and membership number please visit the Friends desk on your next visit to the Royal Academy of Arts.
