About

In 2009, Greg Williams was commissioned to photograph guests as they arrived in the auditorium at the Orange British Academy Film Awards. In this photograph he has captured Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as they chat with other guests taking their seats.

That year, Angelina Jolie was nominated for Best Leading Actress for the Changeling, while Brad Pitt was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

In this series, Greg Williams was able to capture intimate moments from some of the biggest names in film.

This photograph is part of a new exhibition, The Director’s Cut: BAFTA Photography 2006–2016, curated by BAFTA Photography Director Janette Dalley. The exhibition shows a selection of Janette’s favourite images commissioned by BAFTA in her time as director.
