The Director's Cut: BAFTA Photography 2006-2016
Selected by Photography Director Janette Dalley
With the growth of BAFTA has come the growth of BAFTA photography. The Academy’s awards and events have always attracted the attention of press photographers but as BAFTA’s status grew and its activity levels rose, in 2006 it was decided to bring photography in-house under the direction of Janette Dalley.
BAFTA’s photography celebrates the most talented screen arts practitioners and enables them to inspire future generations. It is a demonstration of the cultural excellence with which the name BAFTA is associated and is increasingly recognised by museums and galleries eager to showcase their work. In a world driven by images, BAFTA's photographs are leading ambassadors for the organisation.
It is a pleasure to celebrate the best of 10 years of BAFTA photography with this personally curated set by BAFTA's inaugural Photography Director Janette Dalley.
