Frank Dobson 1888 - 1963
Reclining nude, 1924 - 1925
The human figure in repose was the constant source of Dobson's inspiration, and from the 1920's he concentrated on the female nude. His work reflects a range of influences, most obviously the work of the older French sculptor, Aristide Maillol, and the art of India and the Orient.
