I love Gillie’s and Marc’s sculptures and paintings; they are imaginative, fun and thought-provoking. I adore these characters. I am always delighted by their presence in the most surprising places in Sydney. I can imagine a number of perfect spots for this lovely piece of artwork in our home. It would be cherished by both my husband and me.

Hi – I would love to win this artwork for my husband, celebrating his birthday next week. We have spent the last 8 years working and moving around Australia and we currently live in Sydney. Over our travels we have collected artwork from local artists and are yet to pick up something from Sydney. Recently, while visiting family in Perth we came across a Gillie and Marc bronze statue in mount Lawley and my husband commented how much he loved their work. And finally, our beloved Weim Ruger, recently passed away. We miss him terribly so I think winning this artwork is meant to be – the stars have all aligned.

I would love to win the Gillie and Marc artwork as I am a huge fan of their work. I love my car, always drive far but haven’t managed not to scratch it! So I’d love a non scratched car complete with the dashing Dogman and ravishing Rabbitgirl for my walls at my little terraced house in Alexandria Sydney.

  • Grace Elkin: January 20, 2016

I just love it. That’s it! There is no other way to say it. I would just love it to be mine. There is nothing really else to say because I’ve said it, I love it :) Gillie and Marc are awesome!

I got married at an art gallery that was exhibiting a collection of works from Gillie and Marc. Unfortunately, having just paid for a wedding, buying one of their pieces was off the cards. But this would be an amazing reminder of the best day of my life.

Serendipity. The fact that I saw this competition on Instagram is surely proof that the theory of Laws of Attraction is in fact TRUE! After framing one of the AMAZING prints by this dynamic art duo I fell in love with their quirky style and the absolute quality of their prints. I believe it is MEANT TO BE! I will frame that precious artprint with love and nurture it all its life… And will give it a big shout out on Instagram too ? Please pick me ????

We would love to be lucky enough to win this amazing prize. Gillie and Marc are our favourite artists and not only bring great joy simply by looking at their consistently fabulous work, but also the lovely message it gives in relation to humans and animals. In a world where there is so much sadness and craziness, sharing their work with our five year old, (who recognises them instantly) is truly special.
