The Essex Collection of Art from Latin America commissioned Florencia Guillen to this untitled print for ESCALA Artist Editions, established in 2008. This initiative covers the artists’ production costs and, where appropriate, includes an element of professional development. All proceeds are returned to the artist and to the Collection to support its activities and further editions.

Product Description

Florencia Guillen (b. 1977, Guadalajara, Mexico; lives and works in Guadalajara and London) created this untitled silkscreen print in Guadalajara as part of a residency at the University of Essex in 2009. Guillen studied in Mexico City and in London, at the Slade School of Art and at Goldsmiths. She works predominantly in time-based media, combining individual reflection and social commentary and playing with the idea of editions. This print uses images of a Mongolian 'ger' or hut; the surrounding landscape and a horse competition, derived from pencil drawings which are in turn derived from stills taken from a film, 'Editions from an Encounter.'

You can return the item within 28 days of receiving it, and we will issue a refund or replacement within 28 days of the supplier's receipt of the returned goods

If you aren't happy with your purchase, if it gets damaged in transit, or if it becomes faulty please email us at returns@culturelabel.com or call +44 (0)20 7749 6857 and we shall provide you with details on how to return it direct to the supplier.

For hygiene reasons, earrings for pierced ears cannot be returned.

If the item is damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied, or develops a fault, we will refund the cost of postage.

In all other cases, you'll need to cover the cost of returning the item. We strongly recommend you obtain proof of postage (free from the Post Office) as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the post.
