Product Description

This limited edition print by Gert & Uwe Tobias shows two heads in a dark and diffuse light. Their grotesque appearance wells up from deep within, like anthropomorphic condensations of the nocturnal atmosphere. Their carnivalesque physiognomy may look like an incarnation of the furious festering of nature, but their faces also reveal the witty nature of two coexistent men; who stand assertively within their own visual universe.

Employing a graphic language all of their own, shapes and colours in the drawings run into one another. Different layers of acrylic paint, thinned with water and then washed (transparent here, opaque there) create a very dynamic and atmospheric drawing, which has served as a master for this lithographic print each of which have been printed by hand on stone.

This work is the sixth in a series of limited editions that will be produced by invited artists to accompany each of our exhibitions.

If you aren't happy with your purchase, if it gets damaged in transit, or if it becomes faulty please email us at returns@culturelabel.com or call +44 (0)20 7749 6857 and we shall provide you with details on how to return it direct to the supplier.

For hygiene reasons, earrings for pierced ears cannot be returned.

If the item is damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied, or develops a fault, we will refund the cost of postage.

In all other cases, you'll need to cover the cost of returning the item. We strongly recommend you obtain proof of postage (free from the Post Office) as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the post.
