George Shaw (born 1966 in Coventry) is best known for his highly detailed naturalistic approach and English suburban subject matter, specifically the Tile Hill estate in Coventry where he grew up in the 1970’s.

He has been nominated for the Turner Prize 2011 for his retrospective The Sly and Unseen Day at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art.
