1932 - the Sydney Harbour Bridge opened, Brave New World was published, and a new orchestra played its first notes in London. Over seventy years later that orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, is still going strong.

It's an orchestra with its eye on the future too though, performing film soundtracks, tributes to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, and even the music for the Dragon Quest video game - this is one hip seventy-seven-year-old.

"LPO offers a unique range of CDs taking in world premieres, live concert recordings and seminal concerts from the archives."
