Essex Collection of Art from Latin America

The Essex Collection of Art from Latin America is the only public collection in Europe devoted exclusively to modern and contemporary art from Latin America. The Collection was founded by the University in 1993 and now has more than 700 artworks in a wide range of media representing the rich diversity of visual arts in Latin America.

As a university museum, the Collection is a focus for interdisciplinary research, teaching and learning, increasing knowledge and awareness of art from Latin America for the enrichment and enjoyment of all.
