Deanna TysonDeanna adopts the Japanese view of art, that the focus should be on the artist and what he has to say, rather than the medium in which he expresses his views. Consequently, she expresses her idiosyncratic view of the world in forms and media appropriate to her subject matter from kimono, through woven paintings, stitched drawings, wall hangings to soft sculptures.
Her work reflects her fascination with people, politics and music. Her subjects range from Mugabi to Miles Davis, Hockney to Herbie Hancock with a few Guardian Angels, Muses and Dancers sprinkled in between.
"Based in Cambridge, Deanna exhibits both nationally and internationally, is an RSA Fellow, SDC Member and a Founder Member of CAM, The Cambridge Arts Movement." |
