Royal Academy of Arts

The Royal Academy of Arts is a uniquely independent, privately funded institution led by prominent artists and architects. Since its fruition in 1768, the Academy continues to aspire, in the words of its eighteenth-century founding members, 'to promote the arts of design'.

Its broad range of visual art aims to appeal to the widest possible audience; to stimulate debate, understanding and creation through education.
