Product Description

About the Designer:

One of the main contexts of the artist James' recent work is the idea that big scary animals can still express themselves and still like to eat cakes off plates! He often uses stereotypes of animals, but aims to make them original and a bit quirky.

What James likes about drawing animal characters is the response from people who identify with them; usually telling him that they know someone who acts like one of them.

Amnesty's Campaign:

Amnesty International has worked on the issue of Freedom of Expression since its inception in 1961, and although we have expanded our mission to include the full spectrum of human rights, our dedication to promoting and preserving the right to Freedom of Expression has not changed.

Violations of the right to freedom of expression go hand in hand with violations of other rights – the rights to freedom of association and assembly, the right to take part in public affairs, the right to an education, the full development of personality, talents, and abilities to their fullest potential, and preparation for responsible life in a free society.
