- My top tip is to buy art you like. Dont be lead by trends or investment- prices go up and down so it has to start with a love affair.

- Go to as many art/print fairs as you can and buy from reputable galleries or agents.

- Meet the artist -this will give you a better understanding of the person behind the art and leave you with a feeling of goodwill when you look at the work.

- Finally, always negotiate a deal!
