THE EAST LONDON DESIGN SHOW 2012
The East London Design Show is a brilliant place to pick up Christmas essentials with over one hundred of the best independent product, interior and jewellery designers all under one roof.
We've been catching up with some of our favourite exhibitors, finding out what they are most excited about selling at this year's show and taking a sneak peek at what's on ELDS Director Della Tinsley's Christmas wishlist this year.

'There is always so much to look forward to at ELDS every year but this year I am particularly looking forward to the Golden Glow of Joss Bartons Lights installed especially for the show in the magificent Foyer at Shoreditch Town Hall'.
'Also on my wish list are Moko Sellars, Bone China 'diamond' rings and one of Claudette Joseph's new dresses in Cobalt and for our house a HAM bunny on a trampoline print (guaranteed to make anyone smile)'.

ME & ZENA
What was the first piece you made?
'It was a unicorn pendant named 'Jessica' after Jessica Wakefield of Sweet Valley Twins fame. It was a remniscent of My Little Pony, so I guess kick started the theme of nostalgia in my designs'.
What are you looking forward to at this year's East London Design Show?
'The festive atmosphere and a Christmas shopping vibe, I'm excited to be surrounded by great design and hopefully finding some Christmas presents!'

If you weren't a designer what would you be?
'Im studying drama in my spare time so I would be an actress. You get to use your body and voice – that's seriously lacking when you design at a computer screen all day'.
Do you have a favourite piece you're exhibiting at the fair this year?
'Yes, The pentagram ring and necklace. I like wearing the dark silver necklace with my black shirt'.

What are you most looking forward to at this year's ELDS?
'I enjoy setting up the space and seeing all the work together on display, it's lovely to see it as a collection. Meeting other designers is fun, hearing their stories and looking at new products, it is really inspiring'.
'From a work perspective I love listening to people as they are browsing my stand'.
'It is always great to see peoples reactions to new products, especially when you have been working on something new and haven't put it out into the shopping world'.
Do you have a favourite piece you're exhibiting at the show this year?
'I'm really excited about my new festive Christmas wrapping tape. My products are predominately art prints, so it's fun getting things back from manufacturers and seeing your designs in a different guise'.
'My favourite piece is my new vintage camera drawings print'.
If you weren't an artist what would you be?
'I think I would be a chef'.
