How does space inspire your work?
'I've always been inspired starting as a child about space. There's a beauty to it all that I wanted to add to as a collection because it's not often used with home decor.'
TELL US ABOUT THE LIMITED EDITION 'HEAVENLY BODIES'
'The Heavenly Bodies ties together our exploration into space with classic Greek gods who were thought to live there as well. I imagined our space program assisting those gods, strapping Cesar Augustus into a space suit.'
HOW DID THE 'HEAVENLY BODIES' PIECES DEVELOP FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCT?
'I started working on these pieces by looking through NASA photographs. Then I had looked through some of my own photos of Greek sculptures I had taken and starting to create some new narratives by combining them. With modern technology I was able to create pieces that look both classic and with a digital-age feel.'
This year Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh was the stage for a remarkable fusion of public art and sporting endeavour. The iconic mountain was brought to life in a mass choreographed act of walking and endurance running.
A mesmerising visual display unfolded each night on their ascent to the summit as hundreds of runners wearing specially designed light suits took to the intricate path networks.
