Festival of Britain

Festival of Britain

In 1951, The Festival of Britain was a national exhibition of British design and innovation that inspired a generation and kick-started the regeneration of the South Bank into the world-class institution that stands today.

The Festival was an attempt to boost national morale and to promote better-quality design in the rebuilding of towns and cities following the end of World War II.

To mark this event 60 years on, The Southbank Centre is inviting people to a four-month long celebration of the best of British culture today and here at CultureLabel we give you The Festival Of Britain Shop, featuring commemorative tributes and British-themed gifts, artworks and interiors by a range of artists & designers working in the UK today.

"Celebrate The Festival of Britain and support arts in the UK."
