Blandine Bardeau: Artist, Fashion Designer, Jewellery designer. French. Can you get any cooler? In the case of Blandine, you can and she did – currently exhibiting her work at Beyond The Valley – named one of Marcel Noble’s Cool Brands in 2009 and featured in today’s Metro (along with our other friend My Sugarland).
A couple weeks ago, we checked out the private view of the ‘Flourescent Monkeys and Other Funky Chickens’, which included Blandine’s musical ‘Prologue Dress’ designed for Loup, aka Dale Berning…and lots of red wine.
‘Fluorescent Monkeys’ is completely representative of the artist’s free and kaleidoscopic spirit. Her bold, fluorescent monkeys chatter for your attention.
Blandine explains that the collection is one of spirits in plastic, which is a natural continuation to her first clothing collection for her degree show titled “Transformations”.
