At the Guardian Media awards just a few days ago (where we had the pleasure of hooking up with our co-blogger MediaMonkey to cause some mischief) we were delighted to see a museum’s in-house creative team win the award (with some stiff competition from The Beeb and BBC2) for Creative Design.
The National Galleries of Scotland won for their fantastic Warhol Soup Can Columns – some bright spark changed the classic façade of the gallery itself. The idea to turn the columns into towers of giant Campbell’s Soup Cans was (we don’t mind repeating) conceived and managed internally by the in-house marketing team, creating an extraordinary illusion and captured the imagination of the public.
