Product Description

Limited edition of 500. Size: 75 mm diameter. Certificate and disc are hand numbered with the edition number and presented in bespoke, numbered packaging. Printed on archival quality 100% cotton rag Somerset art paper using light fast, high density inks to ensure a vibrant and lasting reproduction.

Jessica Albarn (born 1971, London) is fascinated by nature and her subject matter is as likely be wildlife, especially birds, insects and spiders, as it is cool portraits of twenty first century stars such as Banksy, Alison Goldfrapp and her brother Damon from Blur. Recent years have seen collaborations with Helmut Lang NYC which took her work to Tokyo, with Modus design Co. for Milan Design Festival and with Oasis for the Designers Collective. Cederteg also published her limited edition book Bee-headed in Sweden. In 2010 she collaborated with the Nelly Duff Gallery in London with their first sell out print and up and coming events now see Jessica’s work focusing on the plight of the Bees.

For Pretty Taxing she has produce an artwork ‘Balancing Bee’ which also appears as a central motif in her forthcoming book and Liberty’s show. This homage to the honey bee, the most sophisticated of all insect societies, gestures both to the mythology and symbolism of the bee and to the modern day fact of colony collapse due to the varroa mite and to climate change. The bee is essentially balancing on the cusp of its legendary past and an uncertain future.

For hygiene reasons, earrings for pierced ears cannot be returned.

If the item is damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied, or develops a fault, we will refund the cost of postage.

In all other cases, you'll need to cover the cost of returning the item. We strongly recommend you obtain proof of postage (free from the Post Office) as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the post.
